Enjoy the Silence

You know the people that constantly have to make conversation? They will literally randomly tell me a story about some guy from 20 years ago just because the room is quiet. It drives me insane! It’s quiet! Shut up!
It’s like this nervous twitch. Making noise makes them comfortable, but me extremely uncomfortable.
I’m 100% ok and comfortable speaking at appropriate times, but just because it’s been 2 minutes of silence doesn’t make me nervous. However, because this is how 95% of humans are, my life has always been uncomfortable.
There are the people who make noises to get attention too. UGH, THE FUCKING WORST! Clearing of your throat over and over because you need something, attention, anything. Coughing, fidgeting around, pacing, anything other than just saying what they mean. Passive shit.
I loathe it! Be direct. (Yes I understand some people can’t handle things or whatnot, this isn’t about that)
I can sense so much more than the average person. Body language, changes in tones, it all pops out at me. So when people are passive about their needs and don’t just tell me, I feel it anyways, and I get irritated. 🙃
I do snap at some point and ask or do whatever it is they need, and they will question you and say they are fine. Stop! You know you are clearly not and I’m over the sighing, huffing and puffing games. Smh.
Why can’t things be silent? Why can’t people express what they need and slow down? Take a breath.
Enjoy the silence!
